Cofiroute SA (France) Projects
Cofiroute S.A is the parent company of Cofiroute USA. It is the largest toll road operator in France and operates a network of about 750 miles (A10, A11, A19, A28, A71, A81, A85, Duplex A86). Beside its networks in France and in the United States, Cofiroute S.A. also has operations in the United Kingdom and in Germany. The following is a brief overview of some of Cofiroute S.A.’s operations:
France – A86: The Duplex A86 is an innovative tunnel which combines time saving, safety and is environmentally friendly. The first section of the Duplex A86, between Rueil-Malmaison and the A13 interchange opened on July 1, 2009.
Germany - Toll Collect: Shareholder (10%) of Toll Collect GmbH, along with Daimler Financial Services (45%) and Deutsche Telekom (45 %), Cofiroute has participated to the development of the distance-based, open-road toll system for trucks (twelve tonnes gross vehicle weight and above) that has been opened since January 1st, 2005.
UK: For the Highways Agency, Cofiroute UK operates and maintains and collects tolls for the two bridges of The Severn Crossings, near Bristol. Cofiroute UK has operated these facilities since 1995 and they collect approximately $125 million annually.
