Cofiroute USA is the acting consultant to CDM Smith (formerly Wilbur Smith Associates) and NCTA (North Carolina Turnpike Authority) for professional services related to the development and management of turnpike project operations. NCTA currently has five projects in development.

Under the three-year consulting agreement, Cofiroute USA will provide expertise through an integrated approach to all areas of development and operations for new projects. This includes toll infrastructure planning and design, business and toll operations plans, operations and maintenance planning, toll collection, roadway operations, procurement systems and customer service.
